Stoking the Fires of Transformation
Spiritual alchemy involves transforming the human base nature into the gold of spiritual nature. This is the true Great Work, the transformation of consciousness from earth mind to divine mind.
The secret, the essence of this transformation, is in the understanding, and the realization, that what we seek is already present. All we are doing is burning off the “dross”, releasing that which obscures the gold underneath. This “gold”, this spiritual perfection, is our true nature. It is our true reality.
There are concrete practices to burn away the dross, to release the fear-based thought system of the ego mind. In a previous article I revealed that the true meaning of Holy “Spirit” is Holy Breath. Breathing the Breath of God. In this practice we will utilize the Holy Breath to stoke the fires of transmutation to assist in this transition.
The science of neural plasticity has to do with actually rewiring the way our brain functions. The following exercise does this by utilizing the electromagnetic field of the heart to cause the brain’s thought patterns to move into entrainment.
Phase Two of the program “A Practical Guide to Enlightenment” lays out a framework to investigate and identify the ego mind’s fear based thought system. For a thorough practice of this dynamic, I suggest you work through an inventory of the ego mind, although this is not necessary for the practice detailed here.
We begin with a practice of observation of our own thought process, simply observing the way we are thinking at any given moment. Here we introduce the practice of non attachment/non aversion. Observing our thought process without judgement, no right or wrong, good or bad.
Practicing the Holy Breath begins to expose us to the expansive awareness found within the heartspace. When the ego’s fear based thought system begins to pull our awareness away from the heartspace, we observe this thinking without judgement, and become willing to release it. We don’t push it away or bury it, nor do we feed into it. We become willing to release it.
Next, we accept whatever feelings and emotions these thoughts bring with them. We welcome them in, and feel them. All emotions, be it anger, lust, greed or fright, have a frequency associated with them. We allow that into our emotional body without judgement.
Then, we turn to the Holy Breath. We breathe into the heart center and allow our minds to merge with expanded awareness there. We allow the electromagnetic frequency of the heart center to synchronize our thoughts, and our emotions. This field is exponentially more powerful than that of the brain. We allow this field to bring our thoughts and emotions into a state of entrainment. Keep consciously breathing into the heart chakra, synchronizing, until a calm sense of presence is established. At this point, we are better able to determine the lesson that is involved for us, and the best way forward.
Repeat as necessary.
